- Park Ranger 2: Four years of visitor services experience (e.g. rule enforcement; interpretation such as education and environmental awareness programs; special events and activities; etc.) AND/OR maintenance experience (e.g., construction trades, landscaping). OR

An Associate's degree in Park and Recreation Administration or Natural Resource Management or Environmental Studies and 2.5 years of visitor services experience (e.g., rule enforcement; interpretation such as education and environmental awareness programs; special events and activities; etc.) AND/OR maintenance experience (e.g., construction trades, landscaping).
- To be hired, you must have a criminal records and driving records check that meets OPRD Criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment.
- You must have a valid driver’s license at the time of hire and throughout employment
- Obtain playground certification within 12 months of accepting the position.
- Obtain pesticide spray license with in 6 months of accepting the position.
- Being able to multi-task and adjust to change throughout the work day.
- Computer knowledge/data entry including fee collection, cash handling, registration of customers and experience with data entry.
- Skills in resolving customer complaints related to overnight camping and park rule interpretation and enforcement.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service working with the public or in a public setting.
- Team Player/Positive attitude.
- Takes initiative / sees projects to completion.
- Communicate clearly with supervisor and co-workers.
- Willingness to learn new skills to complete maintenance and repair projects.
- Strong basic carpentry, plumbing, electric, Landscape, and overall general skills in facility maintenance in a park setting.
