Job Description
TheCabin Counselor's overall objective is to provide guidance to campers in their cabin throughout their camp week. This role is critical to achieving an unparalleled experience for all campers.The Cabin Counselor understands there are varying degrees of processes in which must be understood and prioritized in order to successfully achieve the daily operations of this role. This role is primarily used to oversee Mini Camper and Team cabins but can also be used in the youngest Maxi Camper cabin should the need arise.

Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
Camper Supervision
- Familiar with all camp facility locations, camp schedules, and emergency procedures
- Stay at camp in bunk style cabins and expected to remain inside the cabin from lights out until morning
- Wake up campers for their morning chores, breakfast, and instruction
- Encourage campers to perform self-care, such as; bathing, hair care, and teeth brushing
- Assist young campers throughout the day on overall wellness, scheduled instruction, and getting to activities
- Inform campers of daily schedules, help them to prepare, and encourage them to participate in activities
- Assist campers as they prepare for departure from camp
- Counseling responsibilities commence overnight at assigned cabin of campers
- Take attendance with required night supervisor sign off andenforcelights out
- Reporting and recording details of incidents
- Attend and participate in staff training.
- Work with Hospitality and Housing Managers to clean and setup camper bunks
- Maintain cleanliness of the cabin assigned and its surroundingarea
- Communicate any and all maintenance needed to uphold a safe and sanitized cabin
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team
- Health and Safety Certifications
- Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory responsibilities +/- 10-15campers (7-17 year old)
- Summer Camp Season (June 9th - August 24th)
