Paralegal will report to the Associate Director, Contract Center of Excellence, and will be responsible for drafting, redline review, and negotiation of complex Indirect Procurement Contracts within various areas including business technology, professional services, marketing, market research, human resources, and research and development.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Review contract intake forms and collaborate with procurement owners to gather necessary information.
- Determine contracting requirements based on assigned requests.
- Draft contract language using Organon templates and critical clauses.
- Participate in and lead supplier negotiation calls.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet contracting needs.
- Liaise with legal teams, subject matter experts, and suppliers during negotiations.
- Ensure timely completion of required assessments (Privacy, Cybersecurity, Pharmacovigilance), as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) required; Paralegal degree from an ABA accredited program preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or related fields.
- Experience with contracting in a pharma environment and negotiating various types of contracts.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications and track changes for redlining documents.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish successful working relationships.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working independently on multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines.
