Job Description
Paralegals with at least two (2) years of US Patent Prosecution experience are invited to apply for an exciting position in Minneapolis. In this role, you will take on the crucial responsibility of managing U.S. and foreign Patent Prosecution dockets. Your duties will include ensuring deadlines are met, drafting correspondence, and completing tasks with precision. Paralegals should expect, in this position, to work once a week in-office.
Major responsibilities
- Interact with clients under attorney supervision regarding regular or procedural Patent Prosecution events.
- Help attorneys oversee U.S. and global patent portfolios, ensuring precision in patent files and comprehension of docket deadlines.
- Create diverse Patent Prosecution documents for new applications, formalities, examination, patent appeals, and post-allowance actions, subject to attorney review.
- Convey attorney instructions to local counsel for international patent matters and prepare additional documentation.
- Establish, track, and manage the U.S. information disclosure statement database within the IP docket management system.
- 2 years, minimum of experience working in Patent Prosecution
- Working knowledge of IP Docketing programs, document management programs and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
- Prior experience working in a remote setting, a plus
