Job Description
- Assist in managing a litigation docket of active product liability matters.
- Supervise local counsel in a proactive manner to achieve the best result for the company, including managing budgets with outside counsel and reporting on litigation risks internally.
- Draft, negotiate, finalize and oversee the approval process for all commercial contracts, agreements, amendments, and non-disclosure agreements, among other types of agreements.
- Coordinate the review of contract scope and contract appendices in consultation with business colleagues and internal subject matter experts.
- Coordinate and assemble contract documents for execution.
- Consistently analyze and mitigate complex contractual risk, while increasing efficiency and consistency in contracting.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial litigation (product liability preferred).
- Excellent legal, analytical, and drafting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with lawyers and non-lawyers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
- Experience building and managing collaborative relationships with internal and external parties.
- Adaptability to manage changing priorities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A high level of integrity, judgment, and a proactive and service-oriented mindset to assist in achieving client goals while complying with all applicable policies, rules, and laws.

- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
- 7+ years of combined experience in the areas of litigation (products liability experience preferred) and/or general commercial law.
- A minimum 5 years of recent, relevant, and broad litigation experience in a law firm, large in-house setting or equivalent (required).
- Candidates with in-house experience will be given special consideration.
