The Direct Marketing Intern will work closely with the direct marketing (DM) team across integrated and digital campaigns. This position will help reach strategic fundraising goals through daily tasks such as supporting social media and digital acquisition, email and direct mail campaigns, mobile marketing programs and actively participating in team discussions. The goal of this internship is to help further develop your direct and digital marketing skills in a professional work environment while gaining experience in the nonprofit space.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Professionalism - donor or /customer service experience
- Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office products
- Understands and/or has experience within fundraising/digital marketing space
- Any prior work experience or volunteering nonprofit experience is a plus
- Knowledge of social media and online fundraising channels
- Working knowledge of personal computers
- Ability to operate phone, computer
- Strong attention to detail and project organization/management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including spelling and grammar) as well as copy proofreading
- High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
- Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising software a plus, but not required.
- Marketing experience, understanding of marketing best practices, audience segmentation, and email and SMS marketing a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and email best practices preferred, but not required
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Preferred Majors: Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Science and Analytics, Journalism, Organizational Management
- Preferred Degrees: Associate, Bachelor's, Master's
- College Level: Sophomore, Junior, Senior
