HealthRIGHT 360 offers residential treatment services designed to serve individuals and families with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive service, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Residential programs run 24/7 and Individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, Medication support services, and crisis intervention.

Job Overview
This is a union position.
890 is a residential Substance Use Disorder treatment program for men, located near Alamo Square in San Francisco. It is a 99 bed trauma-informed and dual diagnosis program, staffed by an interdisciplinary clinical team of Substance Use Disorder counselors and therapists. 890 utilizes evidence-based curricula to provide individual and group counseling in a residential treatment setting for some of San Francisco's the most most vulnerable adults. Our goal is to serve clients in an environment where they feel supported and accepted so they can begin their recovery in a safe and peaceful setting.
Overnight Monitors are responsible for maintaining and assessing the safety and security of the program and its residents throughout the night while providing a supportive and safe treatment environment. Through effective communication, Overnight Monitors relay relevant information to other members of the interdisciplinary team and perform crisis intervention as needed. Overnight Monitors ensure that the treatment environment is safe and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
Safety and Security Responsibilities: Remains alert and awake during the entire overnight shift. Conducts nightly headcount and performs hourly house runs to ensure and maintain accountability and well-being of all clients and the facility's safety and security. Performs crisis intervention and communicates with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise. Documents client updates in the facility log daily and documents incident reports. Performs CPR, First Aid, and administers Narcan as needed. May work weekends and holidays as needed.
Treatment Setting Responsibilities: Holds facility keys, ensures all doors are locked and alarmed according to schedule, and regularly monitors the facility perimeter for safety. Answers calls and communicates information to the team by e-mail. Monitors breakfast in the dining hall. Ensure all house laundry is completed. Appropriately files any outstanding paperwork. Maintains tracking sheet and sends to the appropriate departments before the end of the shift. Attends required trainings and meetings.
And, other duties as assigned.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education Required:
  • First Aid Certified.
  • CPR Certified.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Desired:
  • Registration with Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by ADP.
  • Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by ADP.

Background Clearance Required:
  • Must not be on active parole or probation.

Knowledge Required:
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications.
  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

  • Strong initiative and enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in whenever needed.
  • Able to communicate well at all levels of the organization including working with organization leadership and high-level representatives of partner organizations.
  • Able to work within a frequently changing project scope while maintaining overall direction and structured priorities.

Desired:
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma informed treatment.
  • Bilingual.
  • Knowledge of Clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes etc.).
  • Experience working with criminal justice population.
