Reese, a distinguished company with over 80 years of experience in the building materials industry, is seeking a dedicated and dependable Outside Sales Representative for our Plainfield, IN location. As a key player in our company's growth, you will be responsible for promoting Reese's product lines to dealers, home builders, contractors, and architects within a specified territory. This role offers the opportunity to provide excellent customer service and contribute significantly to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers, identifying growth opportunities through regular appointments.
- Expand business reach by actively soliciting new customers within the territory.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to a diverse audience including dealers, builders, contractors, and architects.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or inquiries.
- Provide training to customers on the proper application and installation of Reese product lines.
- Engage with customers directly through various channels including face-to-face meetings, electronic communication, and telephone.
- Support other areas of the company as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- A minimum of a High School diploma, complemented by three a minimum of (3) years of related sales experience such as building materials, wholesale, or other business to business sales.
- Knowledge of the building industry is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to stay informed on current industry trends and apply this knowledge to sales opportunities.
- High level of customer focus and strong relationship management skills.
- Strong influence, persuasion, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills.
