Job Description
We are seeking highly qualified candidates for an Outside Sales Representative/account manager position with experience selling IT products such as computers, laptops, servers, storage, and networking to commercial accounts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in supporting existing clients while growing their overall book of business. Success requires a high level of collaboration with manufacturers, distributors, and service providers. Candidates will be evaluated for negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Identifying leads, managing prospects and acquiring new business.
- Servicing existing clients.
- Effectively discuss and demonstrate various product lines from multiple manufacturers.
- Attending conferences and trade shows as a representative of our business.
- Taking training and passing certification exams as required by the manufacturers we represent.
- Managing a large geographic territory with many existing and potential customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of prior experience selling IT products.
- Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical solutions.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
- Some knowledge or experience working with public sector customers is a plus.
