Position Title: Outreach WorkerLocation: Various

General Purpose:
Supports program staff in organizing events, and recruiting participants to programs. This employee will work directly with the community to network and increase communication regarding the program.
Essential Functions:
- Greet parents and participants as they enter the program
- Distribute and collect program applications
- Communicate the program elements to community members
- Greet, sign-in, and assist all visitors
- Notify program office of all visitors
- Help direct transitions
- Provide outreach in the community to bring new participants into programs
- Record program and event attendance as needed
- Maintain and organize attendance and applications
- Review applications for missing and/or incomplete paperwork
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Min requirement of High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Excellent Communication skills
- Must be organized and able to multi-task
- Must be able to work with diverse cultural, educational, social and economic backgrounds
Special Working
Typical day includes working in a New York City public school, and outreach outside of the building throughout the year.
