Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Taking medical histories
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Assisting the physician during examinations
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Performing basic laboratory tests
• Clean exam rooms
• Measure and record vital signs
• Perform data entry
• Answer phone calls
• Patient follow up
• Phlebotomy experience a plus
• Front office experience preferred but not required

Position Requirements

Education

Graduate from accredited MA program or 2+ years of experience as MA in clinical setting

Experience

Minimum (2) year full-timeMedical Assistant experience

Other Requirements

· CPR certified

· Valid NJ Medical Assistant Credentials from certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or equivalent
