We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any ocular abnormalities
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as refractive errors, glaucoma, and cataracts
- Prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed
- Perform specialized tests, such as visual field testing and retinal imaging
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of optometry principles and practices
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing eye conditions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and treatments
- Solid understanding of anatomy related to the eyes and visual system
- Experience using electronic health record systems (currently using Nextech) for efficient patient management
- Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Strong focus on patient care and providing exceptional service
