Title: Opto-Mechanical Engineer – Optics Fabrication
Duration: Project, Long-Term
Location: Onsite Redmond, WA

Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week 

Role:
o Design systems and processes for the fabrication, metrology and assembly of optical systems.  
o Designing tooling components and instrumentation for diamond turning 
o Designing tooling components for molding optics
o Developing processes and equipment for cleaning, measuring, assembling, and packaging optical components systems.
o Working with internal and external suppliers for delivery of components
o Working with optical/optomechanical engineers to optimize DFM.

Skills:
o MS minimum in mechanical engineering or related disciplines
o 5+ years experience in designing, analyzing or building optical components or systems
o 2+ years experience with diamond turned optics and metrology of free-form and aspheric optics.
o Knowledge of Solidworks design software, GD&T and creating prints for fabrication
o Knowledge of laser marking, optical microscopy, laser interferometry and coordinate measuring machines 

Education: BSME

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range $45/hr - $60/hr.
