Position Overview: As an Ophthalmic Technician, your role is essential to our mission. You will work closely with our doctors and patients, assisting with prescreen testing, exam preparation, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Key Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma is required, and any college coursework is a strong asset.
- Work History: A demonstrated commitment to your career, with a history of longevity and growth.
- Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare or medical office setting is a must.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, technicians, physicians, and outside departmental staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with computer software and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems (Electronic health record experience is preferred).
- Focus and Organization: The ability to remain focused and organized in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand with mobility for extended periods.
- Ophthalmology Knowledge: Considerable understanding of ophthalmology theory and practice is preferred.
- Certifications: COA and/or COT certification is a significant advantage.
- Flexibility: Ability to work at different locations during the day on occasion, with a clean DMV record and reliable transportation.
