PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring the production planning process for RAW materials is efficient and cost effective and meets the needs of the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Improve the operations of production planning and control department buy items specifically.
- RAW Planning Process Management
- Replenishment methodologies
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and prioritize material needs.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to meet production requirements.
- Review and analyze RAW planning parameters.
- Cooperate closely with all of Manufacturing Operations, Information Technology, R&D and Finance.
- Regular involvement in continuous improvement activities in the areas of
- Visual Material replenishment systems
- Storeroom and receiving operations.
- New Product Development
- Cooperate closely with all of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Management, Master Data, R&D and Finance.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Operations or Material Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in Planning, Inventory, Replenishment and/or Manufacturing Operations capacity
- Strong knowledge of the products, materials, and processes in the Machine Division.
- Knowledgeable in the Lincoln Electric software packages of SAP and Apriso
- Experience in operation planning, materials management and inventory control required.
- Strong computer skills must be proficient in SAP, Microsoft Tools, Access Database and Outlook.
- Ability to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
- Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
- May lead steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- A positive outlook, commitment to project ownership, results to orientation and a desire to improve manufacturing operations.
- High level of analytical ability to utilize complex planning system and identify “root cause” process problems.
