The Team:
Luminate is looking for a Manager, Operations to support our music reference data team. The ideal candidate is an experienced operational leader, passionate about flawless execution and operational excellence, and thrives in a fast-paced, data-heavy environment. A people advocate who can inspire and motivate others.
This hybrid position will be in our Tampa, FL office, and must work a Monday through Friday schedule. If you are not local to Tampa, FL and would like to be considered for this role, you must relocate yourself to Tampa, FL. Luminate does not provide relocation assistance.
The Role:
- Lead Luminate's Operations processing tasks
- Ensure SLAs are met and manage any instances of non-compliance
- Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools to extract insights and drive data-driven decision-making
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Establish team goals and drive execution
- Develop quarterly OKRs and direct the team's efforts to meet these objectives
- Developing and implementing policies related to music operations and compliance
- Understand Luminate's vision and guide the team to align with that vision
- People Advocate - Inspires & motivates others to higher performance
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide guidance and feedback to the team at regular intervals and as needed
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to generate precise outcomes
- Document and socialize operational process requirements and SLAs
- Recognize business needs and prioritize operational support efforts
Who you are:
- Minimum of 2+ years of recent people management (preferred experience managing Royalties, Compliance, or Quality Control teams)
- Change management: Ability to lead and manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and employee buy-in
- Coaching expertise, outstanding communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented individual with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism
- Proficient technical abilities in managing intricate workflows and handling complex datasets.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with the organization's overall objectives.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets expertise
We would be over the moon if you have experience or skills specifically in:
- Knowledge in DSP and label operations, music industry supply chain management, or release planning
- Music metadata and/or DSP and label operations knowledge
- Knowledge of metadata standards (DDEX, ISNI, etc.)
- Experience in managing a hybrid workforce
