Position:Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager at Coronado Paint & Decorating, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business. From overseeing inventory management to optimizing processes, your leadership will contribute to the continued success of our employee-owned company.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to align operational processes with company objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing discrepancies.
- Implement best practices for inventory organization, storage, and tracking.
- Work closely with suppliers to optimize product availability and manage stock replenishment.
Process Optimization:
- Evaluate current operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement streamlined procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and innovation within the team.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training programs as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Implement and oversee safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and rectify any compliance issues.
Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and contracts to optimize procurement processes.
- Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Requires:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in a retail or operations environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience in inventory management, process optimization, and team development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and implement best practices.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with the retail and construction materials industry is a plus.
