Why does the job exist?
The General Manager I/Regional Operations Manager will:
- Oversee the functions and operations of the Child Support Services Division (CSSD) county field offices, satellite offices and out-stationed staff in the region(s).
How does it get done?
The General Manager I/Regional Operations Manager is responsible for:
- Preparing personnel actions;
- Preparing and directing of an office budget;
- Promoting program effectiveness;
- Ensuring that county office corrective actions are completed correctly;
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and statutes.
Who are the customers?
- Child Support Services Division (CSSD) County Directors;
- CSSD field office staff;
- State district courts.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience:
- Managing Child Support Services Division (CSSD) County offices;
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures;
- Developing and implementing budgeting procedures;
- Complying with federal and state regulations;
- Testifying on behalf of an agency in hearings and administrative processes;
- Providing complex case management and problem resolutions.
Minimum Qualification
A Master's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
