Ipsen's is growing and expanding its Souderton, PA facility. We are in search of a top-notch, highly skilled operations leader to help grow our aftermarket operations capabilities.
Summary
The Ipsen Customer Service (ICS) Operations Manager is a hands-on leader that directs and coordinates activities of Manufacturing Production, Purchasing and Shipping activities as it relates to Ipsen's Aftermarket ICS business for the Souderton, PA. operation. The ICS Operations Manager has the overall responsibility of successfully managing production operations in our Souderton shop, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• ICS Operations Manager is responsible for oversight of all direct and indirect ICS Manufacturing activities of the plant, including ICS (aftermarket parts and hot zone retrofits) production planning, scheduling, warehouse management and supervising daily production operations.
• Supports the execution of ICS production plan, optimizing equipment and labor efficiency in all production areas and must ensure that projects are completed in time and on budget.
• Develop manpower loading through level-loading techniques by working closely with engineering, production control, shop supervisors, quality control, welding and maintenance person.
• Directs and coaches assigned direct reports which include, Production Manager(s), Buyer(s) and Shipping/Receiving Supervisor(s).
• Reviews ICS production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations and staffing requirements.
• Evaluates and makes decisions on priority of components to be manufactured.
• Works closely with the Quality-Documentation-Warranty team to help develop monitor and maintain key performance indicators for the department as well as ensures that Production helps meet the overall KPIs for the organization and its ISO requirements.
• Proactively champions continuous improvement initiatives and provides new ideas/suggestions to better improve our manufacturing activities.
• Inspects work processes, machines, and equipment to meet operational performance, labor efficiency and utilization.
• Develops or revises work instructions and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards, work instruction, policies, and procedures.
• Develops and manages annual operating budget for manufacturing at our Souderton, PA facility.
• Ensure the proper number of qualified workers, providing training as necessary to achieve ICS sales conversion and meet customer committed delivery dates.
• Works closely with Hot Zone Production Manager and ICS Parts Production Manager on all preventive and predictive maintenance activities covering production, buildings, and related infrastructure.
• Partners with HR to ensure a safe work environment for production employees.

• Possess strong leadership, coaching and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment and successfully juggle competing priorities.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to comfortably create professional presentations and present to a variety of audiences
• Possess computer skills (such as MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Knowledge of ERP systems. Knowledge of Syteline is a plus
• Knowledge of LEAN or Six Sigma methodology is preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO and other related compliance requirements strongly desired
• Possess strong integrity and ethical standards
• Ability to travel to Ipsen Cherry Valley (Main USA Ipsen facility) as needed throughout the year.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, industrial engineering or related Operations or Business degree required.
• Minimum 4 years prior experience in a supervisory or management level role in an industrial environment.
• Prior exposure to implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies desired.
• Prior experience developing and implementing ISO 90001 processes desired.
