ADP is hiring a Operations ExecutiveStrategic Workforce Planning within our Major Accounts Services organization.

 In this role as an Operations Executive -StrategicWorkforce Planning, your primary focus is to ensure that Workforce Planning activities come together in a consistent and effective way that leverages best practices and best in class tools for Workforce Planning, enabling high levels of resource optimization for the future. The Head of Strategic Workforce Planning is responsible for leading the design and enhancement of the Strategic Workforce Planning process (SWP).

 

You will provide analytical and consultative expertise enabling leaders in the business and Human Resources function (e.g.., Business & Function HR leaders, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Management, etc.) to improve decision making regarding resource allocation and talent planning that supports long-term business planning. The individual will also lead and/or support additional Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition initiatives such as the identification and/or development of candidate selection assessments, survey design, sourcing strategies, etc. Responsible for establishing a community of practice that ultimately focuses on talent mobility across ADP.

 

The success of this Major Accounts Services Sr. Leader is measured by the quality of strategic planning, staffing optimization, productivity, and associate efficiency for the assigned client base. Reports directly to the VP/GM and coordinates efforts across platforms. You will manage a team of 5 leaders with ~53 indirects.

 What you’ll do: Responsibilities

  • Be recognized as the subject matter expert globally for Strategic Workforce Planning, providing thought leadership to the development of a world-class Workforce Planning discipline
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in area of responsibility, including best practices, benchmarking
  • Industry Leadership: Is a thought leader in leading Workforce Planning practices in support of the delivery domains and maintains industry knowledge of leading practices and skill sets required to deliver HCM solutions across the ADP product portfolio and the Human Capital Management spectrum.
  • Work with the HR Partner and Business community to integrate Workforce Planning goals and concepts across HR globally. Collaborate with functional /business /expertise partners to drive sustainable enhancements to planning processes and technology.
  • Collaborate with HR Information Services to identify and select technology tools associated with Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Design and implement tools to optimize Workforce Planning, manager dashboards, reporting, and trending. Develop data driven solutions to support decisions regarding critical business needs. Identify, collect, and consolidate data to facilitate modeling and staffing projection tools and templates for the SWP process
  • Lead the analysis of the Workforce Plan and identify skills/competency requirements and critical skill gaps across the organization
  • Develop Workforce Planning scenarios, collaborating with HR Partners, Talent and Succession, Talent Acquisition and Global Leadership and Learning to identify talent gaps and develop strategies to address organizational needs.
  • Mobilize and measure the efforts around Workforce Planning goals
  • Provide the subject matter expertise in developing global talent metrics and predictive analytics
  • Develop and deliver presentations to HR & business leaders on workforce trends and metrics that impact business outcomes
  • Lead the continuous enhancement of the Strategic Workforce Planning process (SWP)
  • Create reports, dashboards and presentations that show results and trends

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements

  • Degree within a quantitative discipline; statistics, economics, finance, or industrial/ organizational psychology. 
  • 7-10 years’ operating in a similar position with 3 years of experience in Workforce Planning and headcount forecasting/financial budgets
  • Exhibits Leadership Excellence, including identifying successful behaviors, ensuring the right talent in the right roles and a strong eye for building successful teams and leaders
  • Recognized as an individual with outstanding leadership skills, passion, professionalism, communication, and strategic business thinking
  • Develop and maintain high engagement with not only your direct leadership team but indirect reports as well

A college degree is preferred but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:

  • Experience noted above, OR
  • Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.

 

BONUS POINTS FOR THESE: Preferred Qualifications

  • HR Master's degree/MBA preferred
  • Ability to understand complex business plans/requirements and translate into a Strategic Workforce Plan
  • Experience in developing and utilizing predictive analytics and statistical modeling is a plus.
  • Expertise in talent management processes highly desirable
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience leveraging HR Systems/technology to create workforce analytics and metrics
  • Ideally, good knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations globally
  • Business Leadership-Creates and articulates a vision and inspires others to action. Clearly describes the strategic direction of ADP and linkages with the Business Unit (department).
