Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, development, evaluation, and implementation of district safety, School Resources Officers (SROs), technology, maintenance, child nutrition services, and transportation functions.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in educational administration
Administrative or Mid-Management Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of Operations management
Knowledge of emergency management
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to interpret data and evaluate maintenance and custodial programs
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Five years successful administrative experience at campus level
Successful experience as district level administrator preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee the management of facilities maintenance, transportation operations, child nutrition services, technology, School Resources Officers (SROs) and safety of the district.
Incorporate district-level goals into operational objectives to ensure that students arrive at school and school activities safely and on time and attend school in an environment that is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
Monitor and reevaluate operations departments on an ongoing basis to ensure that district needs are
being met in an effective and efficient manner. Implement changes where appropriate.
Collaborate with architects and consultants during the design and planning phases of all construction projects to ensure compliance with the district's specifications, design and construction standards, and building programs. Monitor the progress and compliance of ongoing construction projects.
Ensure that the necessary time, resources, materials, and technology to support accomplishment of
department goals are available.
Implement federal and state laws and regulations and local board policy and ensure compliance. Stay abreast of state and federal public policy changes that could impact the district.
Ensure that safety standards are maintained in conformance with federal, state, and insurance regulations and a district-wide preventive safety program is developed and implemented.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Prepare, review, and revise job descriptions in maintenance, and transportation departments as needed.
Coordinates school safety drills, guidelines and procedures for district campuses and administration
Oversee the District Constables (School Resource Officers - SRO)
Policy, Reports, and Laws
Implement federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and board policy with technology, maintenance, child nutrition services, and transportation
Compile, maintain, file, and present all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required
Enforce safety standards that conform to state and federal regulations and develop a program of preventive safety.

Attend board meetings regularly and make presentations to the board.
Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of district operations, policies, regulations, and practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise, evaluate, and recommend the hiring and firing of maintenance, transportation, child nutrition services, technology supervisors and staff, and operations department clerical staff.
