Denver Transit Operators (DTO) is a privately held company that has a 29-year contract with the Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) to operate and maintain the commuter rail system within the Greater Denver Metro area. We currently have a full time opportunity for an Operations Analyst. We are seeking a committed individual that is responsible for extracting and reporting timely and accurate data for these various departments. The Analyst will also provide operational / financial review, identification of potential process improvements by analyzing results, monitor variances, and identify trends from data that is generated from various operational and financial software systems. The Analyst will compare data against operational targets and metrics as well as financial plans and forecasts. This position does require the incumbent to be able to start work as early as 5:00AM to ensure timely production of daily reports.

This position is subject to the rules & regulations of the Federal Railroad Administration and their Drug & Alcohol policy.

Pay:

Our Operations analyst can expect to earn an annual salary of $55,000 to $67,500. Your performance & pay are reviewed yearly.

What Will You Do?

As the Operations Analyst, some of your duties will be to:

  • Create, review and issue Operating, Financial and Regulatory Reports in accordance with Company requirements. These vary in frequency from daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and on an as-needed or as-assigned nature and run the gamut across the needs of the Company, contract with the client, and regulatory offices.
  • Create, review and issue other charts, graphics and reports as requested. These deliverables leverage data from multiple sources and systems and require interrogation of the data beyond basic accessing of the data.
  • Review automatic reports daily for completeness and accuracy. Track down any questionable, incorrect, or missing information from the necessary Company Department. Rerun reports as necessary.
  • Create additional daily reports in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, based on this information for transmittal.
  • Bundle automatic and created reports for daily transmittal and send to document control per deadline.
  • Keep detailed and organized records of all pieces of the daily transmittal in preparation for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting as well as to prepare trends data and in case revisions of transmittal are necessary.
  • For monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting, review automatic reports daily ensuring completeness and accuracy. Track down any incorrect or missing information from the necessary department. Rerun reports as necessary.
  • Work with each Company Department to confirm accuracy of each report before transmittal.
  • Work with DTP and RTD accountants and representatives to reconcile any discrepancies with the content of periodic reporting (daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.).
  • Check in with Company Departments for updates on previously transmitted reports and to preemptively check reports for completeness for the next day and retransmit reports as necessary.
  • Keep detailed records of all work products for future need in case of revision or use in new reporting requirements.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, track follow-up items
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Bring (Position Requirements)

  • High proficiency in data processing documentation techniques, methodology and diagrams.
  • Extensive computer literacy, including use of, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam PDF software; experience with Trapeze/EAM/AssetWorks is preferable or similar.
  • Strong communications skills and critical thinking ability
  • Written communications skills are integral to this position
  • Requires an individual to have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol test
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration or other job related field, a valid Colorado driver’s license and Minimum of 3 years of professional experience related to the position is highly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license
