Job description

Position Summary
The CRS Finance and Operations Analyst supports Clinical Research efforts within CRS by completing assigned operational and reporting tasks as well as proactively recommending improvements to operational or financial practices based on data and analytics. The position works closely with CRS leadership to achieve and demonstrate progress toward departmental and institutional operational and budget goals.
Essential Duties
  1. Responsible for assigned tasks, including the development of the first draft of the study budget for industry-funded studies; invoicing study-related expenses; following up on payments; troubleshooting problems with internal and external stakeholders; and monthly financial reconciliations for assigned studies.
  2. Facilitates the flow of information between CRS and ancillary departments to ensure accurate implementation of research budgets.
  3. Works with the Finance Manager and CRS Director to identify data sources and develop both Financial and Operational metrics and reporting.
  4. Serves as systems administrator for Clinical Conductor. Works with department leadership and the vendor to identify and implement improvements to NJH's current build-out and use of Clinical Conductor. Troubleshoots issues and provides training and support for other users of the system.
  5. Works closely with the Sponsored Program Office to ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements, as well as timely reporting expectations.
  6. Assists the finance manager and director in providing information and support to clinical managers to drive operational efficiencies and work toward program goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, finance, or a related field is required.
  2. Work Experience: 1 year of experience in finance or analytics required
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and SQL preferred. Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
