Responsibilities include administrative support, project management, and event management. The coordinator plays a critical role in supporting internal advancement events.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide event support to various internal advancement events.
- Duties may include:
- Coordination of logistics such as event timelines
- RSVP tracking
- Briefing packet to needed parties
- Preparation of event materials
- Communication and invitation process
- Reservation management and design
- Onsite setup
- Budgeting, catering
- Audio-visual and technical planning
- Other vendor arrangements,
- Post-event evaluation
- Serve as a resource for the Director of the Career and Alumni Network in managing special projects
- Provide staff support for Special Event activities which include but are not limited to Homecoming, campaign kickoffs, building dedications, groundbreakings, commencement, and other special projects
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years of work experience in event planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
