- Duties:
- Phone Triage, answer questions within scope of practice and consult directly to provider with pertinent information as needed
- Check portal messages and triage, refer to either appointment or direct communication to the provider as needed.
- Follow through with abnormal test results, report to the medical provider and apply appropriate teaching regarding, but not limited to; STIs, abnormal pap smears, vaginal infections, abnormal NIPT/Carrier testing and arranging proper follow up.
- Administer injections, vaccines and prescribed medications as needed.
- Perform Non-Stress tests.
- May be required to cross train to assist M.D./provider with procedures, room patients and manage specimens per protocol.
- May need to assist in filling out office forms including but not limited to; FMLA, Disability, and Prior Authorizations.
- Track abnormal pap smears, mammograms, and blood levels to create and implement patient care plans.
- Review prescription refills.
- All other duties and responsibilities designated by the Medical Director or Designee.
