Playground Specialists is looking for a highly motivated person to join our team. We are a full service, turn-key company providing commercial recreation equipment and services to parks, schools, housing and more. We represent multiple leading manufacturers for playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, site furnishings, shade shelters, safety surfacing and other products.
The Office Manager will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operations of our office. This position will also have sales support responsibilities- supporting our sales team by providing administrative and operational support. The ideal candidate will excel in organization, communication, and problem-solving, contributing the the success of both the sales department and the overall office environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including managing supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Provide general office and clerical support: filing, correspondence, phone and email inquiries
- Plan and organize office events and meetings
- Coordinate trade show logistics including registrations, travel and supplies needed
- Assist the sales team with administrative tasks- submit warranty information to manufacturers, track ship dates, gather specifications for submittals, and other tasks.
- Utilize CRM software to update customer information and generate reports when needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position preferred
- Highly self motivated with a strong desire to be part of our team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Utilize MS Office Suite of software to perform necessary functions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company and business contacts
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Will be required to work from our office located in Thurmont, Maryland
