We are currently seeking an Office Manager to join our vegetable processing facility in Santa Maria, CA. The Office Manager will be responsible for managing a variety of office activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity. This position oversees procedures and policies for office activities by performing the required duties personally or through delegation.
- Supervises, trains, and cross-trains the clerical staff in performance of their duties to ensure accurate performance and constant coverage.
- Oversees the creation of purchase orders and processing of invoices for plant and farms.
- Analyzes, organizes, and oversees office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, payroll entry, information management filing systems, requisition of supplies, off-line checks and other office services.
- Prepares, uploads into the mainframe computer system, and monitors budgets for all departments.
- Creates and distributes weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
- Functions as Information Systems liaison.
- Keeps track of seed costs/purchases/sales. Reconciles to seed database monthly.
- Solicits quotes and orders supplies and equipment.
- Reconciles and adjusts cost and production information as needed.
- Analyzes actual labor, material, and overhead costs against Standard/Budget. Researches and reports variances as needed.
- Performs other duties assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years’ experience in accounting, office administration, or related field.
- Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Account reconciliation and analysis, and General journal entries.
- Familiarity with UKG PRO/Kronos preferred.
