Job Title: Business Coordinator

SUMMARY: The Business Coordinator is responsible for providing general Business support. This person will work in conjunction with the Business Office to support business functions including facilities, equipment, vendor, and subcontract negotiations. This person will also be responsible for accounts receivable and distribution of donor acknowledgement and information materials. This person will be responsible for maintaining the donor database and creating contact lists for all Advancement Campaigns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a dynamic personal relationship with Christ to include regular church attendance, prayer, bible study and devotions.
- Responsible for answering incoming calls for the Administrative Offices and for properly directing those calls to the correct person.
- Responsible for greeting incoming visitors to the Administrative Offices and direct them to the proper location.
- Responsible for helping with direct mail processing.
- Review contracts and bids for insurance, phones, equipment maintenance, center lease management, facility upgrades, etc. and provide recommendations.
- Primary contact for all vendors and ensures contracts are up to date and renewed.
- Responsible for making deposits to the bank.
- Responsible for direct mail processing.
- Assists in updating key donor and church lists and pulling queries for mailings and other Advancement Campaigns.
- Responsible for Donor Acknowledgement Letters.
- Setting up and entering events/appeals into Kindful database system.
- Globally adding information into Kindful database system.
- Responsible for facilitating and tracking reports from Kindful that include lapsed donor, anniversaries, daily and monthly revenue, monthly major partner, and accounting reports
- Assists in updating key donor and church lists and pulling queries for mailings and other Advancement Campaigns.
- Responsible for database management and maintenance.
- Responsible for maintenance and tracking of gear lists.
- Responsible for sending cards to donors as requested and noting in Kindful.
- Respond to partner inquiries.
- Must develop a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the ministry and be able to communicate the vision and mission of ThriVe Metro East® in ways that motivate all donors/prospective donors.
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Policy and Procedure Manual.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Because ThriVe Metro East® is a Christ-centered organization, the individual chosen for this position must be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is actively involved in a local church. Education/Experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in marketing, business, management or a related field.
- Three to five years experience in administration or operations management.
- Two years database management
- This individual should have a proven track record in working effectively with volunteers, staff and external contacts to build and maintain successful teams.
Language Ability
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to write reports, newsletter, and donor correspondence.
Math Ability
- Ability to record and safely handle funds raised for organization.
- Demonstrates proficiency and increases knowledge in technology.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
Computer Skills
- This individual must be willing to develop proficiency in fundraising software.
- Must possess advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and large database applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use stairs. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
