SUMMARY:
The Front Office Coordinator performs various procedures associated with routine patient encounters, manages the general functions of the front office, including appointments, scheduling, answering phones, various routine clerical/receptionist tasks; enters patient information, insurance information and charges into computer, triages and responds to patient inquiries and correspondence regarding billing etc.; resolves simple account problems and makes necessary corrections to accounts. Resolves or routes complaints to appropriate department for resolutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be included by a high school diploma or equivalent; some college course completion; good math skills, good communication/phone skills; good typing skills; one to two years medical experience; knowledge of medical terminology.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
