Job Description
- An office assistant must meet the qualifications of his or her state - Background Check.
- The office assistant must also have the following abilities and skills: the ability to hear a voice at a conversational volume with or without a hearing aid; the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses; the ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances; the ability to use his or her arms, hands, legs and feet with or without corrective devices. this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies; the ability to handle crises situations, especially if children are involved; the ability to respond immediately to emergency situations; the ability to answer a telephone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.)
- Assistant Teacher/Floater Responsibilities - An assistant teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, an assistant teacher is responsible for working with a lead teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
