Job Description and Duties

Prepare, type, edit, using text editing equipment Area correspondence, memorandums, rosters and logs. Determine proper format, spelling and grammar to ensure clarity of the author. Creates forms with form fields for general clerical use. Recalls, reviews, converts, and archives Management Information System (MIS) to email for Area distribution. Formats, updates and edits Area local forms, personnel rosters, alpha/numeric logs, annual/probationary lists. Creates and maintains all electronic administrative files and sub-files. Type and process all forms and documents related to Area Accident/Injury/Illness records such as CHP 121, 121A, CHP 208, Accident Prevention Reports, STD 270, Report of Vehicle Accidents. Formats special certificates and miscellaneous reports. Responsible for monthly reports including, CHP 113, Accident and Injury Report, Cal-OSHA California Highway Patrol (CHP) Record Reconciliation, and review reporting with Occupational Safety Sergeant.

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
