Office Assistant (Medical Office)

Southern California Heart Centers is dedicated to providing the best cardiac clinical services in the San Gabriel Valley.

We are seeking individuals who have a passion for the healthcare field in order to provide the best possible customer service. Candidates must show initiative but also willingness to follow instructions and learn. In this position you will be working with a high volume of patients, alongside other staff, Nurse Practitioners and Doctors.

Related experience will be preferred but not necessary, all new staff will be trained on site. Candidates must be willing to learn and work the many positions in the office. Basic computer knowledge is required as we are a paper-free office.

Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Vital signs
• EKG
• Hooking up Holter monitors
• Medication reconciliation
• Insurance eligibility verification
• Clerical work; answering phones, data input, scanning etc.
• Scheduling patients
• Submitting Treatment Authorization requests.
• Customer service
• Interpretation
