Organizes and manages the activity at the reception desk to support the provision of care to the patient.
Greets patients, directs callers, assists with physician schedules and performs other activities as required to assure smooth flow of services and patient appointments.
Collects and reports patient flow data and other metrics as assigned.
Provides clerical support to Director, Supervisor, Technologists and Radiologists. Uploads images to PACS, receives and files CDs and films.
Interacts with patients, multiple hospital departments and hospitals/physician offices to obtain images and reports.
Works with various types of office equipment and arranges for maintenance as needed.
Accepts special projects as assigned.
This is a PRN position where availability will be needed at any time Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Minimum Education Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
One year of prior experience in a hospital or equivalent setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products
Excellent communication, clerical, organizational, interpersonal and guest relation skills
Attention to detail
Ability to plan and/or organize activities
Ability to prioritize
40 wpm typing
