SUMMARY:
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, multi-facetted, family-owned company as Payroll & Human Resources assistant. The right candidate for this position will be independent, flexible, detail oriented, and enjoy working with a multi-cultural staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Always maintain the highest level of professionalism.
- Assist with entering, maintaining, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Assist with ensuring proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
- Assist with reconciling payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
- Works with Accounting to issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors.
- Answer employee general questions and emails
- Assist with conduct housing inspections and report issues to Director of Human Resources
- Assist with recruiting qualified job candidates.
- Interview and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Ensure completion and maintenance of employee records, documents, and forms while onboarding all new and returning staff.
- Enforce the standards, policies, and procedures of Natura Destinations.
- Secure seasonal housing
- Verify employee timeclock punches are correct
- Disseminate W2 forms including electronic versions for our seasonal international staff
- Maintain inventory and hand out all uniforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication, telephone, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and computer literacy.
- Excellent employee relations skills.
- Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Have, or be able to obtain, a valid WI driver license with appropriate insurance within 30 days of hire.
- Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.56 - $19.72 per hour
