Office Assistant - local candidates only
Holistic Pest Solutions is a family owned and operated full-service pest control company serving the Charlottesville area since 2002. We are looking for a motivated, self-driven individual interested in being part of a professional team in a solid and growing company.
This is a HOME OFFICE position in the Waynesboro/Staunton area of Virginia. Must have space for a desk, computer, printer, and a small file cabinet. All office equipment and supplies are provided by the company. This is a Full-Time position where answering phones is Job 1, so your workspace would need to be free of small children during work hours as in any office job outside the home. You do not have to have a separate room, but you do need adequate space and quiet to perform job duties M-F 8am to 5pm with an hour for lunch from 12pm-1pm.

JOB DUTIES:
- Managing phone calls and emails, taking messages, passing on leads, handling customer issues, payments, and scheduling.
- Typing, organizing files, keeping records, preparing documents.
- Learning the skills of our service software for managing customer accounts and billing.
- Keeping the day to day office operations running smoothly.
- As you grow, learn, and take on more responsibilities step by step, the goal is for you to evolve in the position over time to an Office Manager. You will be thoroughly trained along the way working in conjunction with an Office Supervisor.
- MUST HAVE:
- basic skills in Word, Excel, and Windows
- skills in working independently, time management, problem solving, communication, and planning
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- a positive outlook to learn and work with both customers and technicians daily via phone, email, and text – you are often the first person a customer meets, and even though not face to face, your attitude and communication skills represent our business
