TITLE/SALARY GRADE: Office Assistant 1 Stores/Mail, SG-6
DURATION: Temporary
SALARY: $16.36 hourly (NOTE: current or reconstructed salary for state employees in accordance with NYS Audit and Control)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Pick up, process and deliver campus mail; domestic, international, accountable, presorted and bulk mail. Receive, pick up, store and distribute goods, materials, and equipment which may require the use of warehouse equipment, forklifts, vans and trucks. Load, unload and physically handle equipment, furniture, supplies etc. Input data, maintain, balance and reconcile records and accounts. Assist in purchasing of supplies. Tag equipment and furniture for inventory purposes and particpate in routine supply and property control inventory verifications. Assist in providing office coverage for Physical Plant & Facilities.
OPERATIONAL NEEDS: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State Driver's license required. Ability to drive a forklift.
