Job description

Administrative assistant/receptionist/biller for a thriving and growing counseling practice in Houston, Texas. Ideal candidate has prior experience in medical or other healthcare office, with strong knowledge of HIPAA.

Duties include:

Greeting clients; answering phones; scheduling appointments; observing and implementing HIPAA compliance, database entry, as well as general office duties. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, computer competence, a team player, and the ability to navigate the internet are necessary skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

You must complete skills tests and video to be considered.

Competence in Word/Pages/Google Sheets, EHR experience, insurnace billing experience preferred, database entry, and use of Internet; good communication skills. Positive attitude is a requirement. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a strong team, which we have worked hard to establish.

Job is approximately 24 hours per week, with the option to move to full time in the future.

Hours are flexible, in office, and during normal office hours- Monday-Thursday, 8am - 5 pm, Fridays, 8 am-3 pm. (No weekends or evenings required!).

Pay starts at $20/hour with benefits with paid time off and retirement plan offered once you are 32+ hours/week.
