THE ROLE
Avocado is currently looking for an Office Administrator to be part of the Administration team. You will be reporting to the VP of Administration.
This role will undertake administrative and clerical tasks, such as daily AP support, help coordinating the housekeeping staff, and keeping inventory and stock of office supplies. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy.
This is a non-exempt position, meaning it is hourly and you are entitled to overtime pay.
- Note on Location: You will be working on-site at our Headquarters in Fullerton, CA. This is not a remote position.
- Note on Pay Transparency:As of January 1, 2023, California-based roles must provide a pay range on job postings. The paygrade for this role is $19.00-$28.00 Hourly. Most candidates with knowledge, skills and ability will have a starting pay rate of $21.00.
WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff and divide daily tasks to ensure performance.
- Keep inventory and stock of kitchen, janitorial and office supplies.
- Support AP with reviewing invoices and credit card spend, data entry, and reconciliation.
- Maintain logins for AP accounts.
- Assist department managers to order equipment and safety items when necessary.
- Greet internal and external visitors in a professional manner.
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.).
- Assist VP of Admin with tasks and projects when necessary.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in admin/clerical roles.
- Very organized and great time management skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Detailed oriented and resourceful.
- Proficient computer skills in Windows operating system.
- Good organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sit: Must be able to remain stationary 60% of the time.
- Walk: This role involves moving throughout the office and warehouse areas to access different areas and people. Going up and down the stairs is also required.
- Talk/hear: This role frequently communicates with other team members to update on the status of a task or ask questions. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Lift: light lifting of mail packages.
- Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets
