At ServiceMaster, an Office Administrator is expected to answer phone calls from homeowners and insurance companies by responding to the call, understanding the situation, coordinating appointments, and answering any general questions that the caller may have. Many of the calls and jobs ServiceMaster deals with on a daily basis are unfortunate situations for homeowners, and it is important that the Office Administrator is sympathetic, positive, and reassuring that all needs will be met. This position is typically the first responder to these disasters, and therefore is expected to make great first impressions on our customers.
An Office Administrator is also expected to create and upload estimates for losses that are to be sent to homeowners and/or insurance companies; this is typically through Xactimate. These estimates must be in line with program work and rules, and each estimate is different depending on the situation or where the assignment came from. This includes billing and final uploads of work that has been completed by our team in the field. In addition, this role requires placement into an on call rotation. This includes after hours tasks Mon-Fri and working on the weekend as needed. When you are on call you are expected to answer your phone 24/7 during that period and may have to come to the office to perform work tasks.
