Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OBGYN Clinic Manager with a strong knowledge base in clinical procedures and quality metrics to join our healthcare administration team. We are looking for a motivated, self-directed team player with exceptional patient interaction skills, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to effectively motivate and inspire a team, and to manage the daily operations of one of several OBGYN practices.
Primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
· Coordinates and manages day to day operations of the clinic
· Ensures that all office areas are adequately staffed and acts as backup when necessary
· Manages employee timekeeping, time off, and overtime usage
· Controls wage and non-wage expenses in accordance with budgetary guidelines
· Manages the physician’s clinic and surgical master schedules, and organizes all schedule changes; instructs staff accordingly, and makes recommendations for schedule improvements
· Manages the coordination of the patient referrals, authorizations and surgery scheduling.
· Working knowledge of major medical insurance plans
· Investigates and resolves employee, physician or patient complaints
· In conjunction with the Director, develops, implements and maintains a Quality Assurance Program that meets with OSHA, DHS, HIPAA and EPA regulations
· Mentor and promote staff development
- Ensures that all clinic staff maintains current licenses and/or certifications and that they are properly trained in all job responsibilities and duties
· Maintains an adequate inventory of all medical supplies
· Reviews and supervises internal systems for handling cash, checks and bank deposits. Assures that cash, checks etc. are secured. Works with the Billing Department to ensure that needs are met
· Coordinates and leads staff meetings outlining goals and priorities
· Prepares and/or analyzes monthly statistical reports: revenue, productivity, appointments, workdays and patient flow
· Maintains confidentiality in all matters
·Completes other/tasks and duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate possesses:
· A High School Diploma – College degree a plus
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical office management; OBGYN and/or surgical specialties preferred
· MA or Clinical experience preferred
· A proven track record of working effectively with physicians
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
· Excellent customer service skills
· EMR proficiency – Cerner experience a plus
· A deep knowledge base in clinical procedures, reception and billing
· The ability to display flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
·Skill in using various computer spreadsheet software to compile data and complete necessary reports.
Compensation will be based on experience
