New Jersey Natural Gas, a subsidiary of NJR is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist project engineers with various duties required for management of construction projects.

What you will do:
Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you'll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You'll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.
Research existing service records and create new orders for service renewal work
Research As-built records including field work confirming existing facility location
Prepare construction packages
Document project management updates and tracking
GIS Revision and design
What we are looking for:
We're looking for self-starters who are motivated to learn, grow and take on new challenges. Individuals who are flexible, dependable, work well in varying environments and want to make an impact in your community and your company are welcomed here.
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, civil and mechanical preferred
Knowledge and/or experience with of GIS is a plus
Valid New Jersey Driver's License
Ability to work onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ
Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)

This position is deemed safety-sensitive under the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration's regulations. Among other things, employees in this position are subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing and post-accident testing. PHMSA-required drug tests include testing for marijuana. The use of marijuana, or testing positive for marijuana, is disqualifying and will lead to removal from performing safety-sensitive functions as well as disciplinary action.
