Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Public Works team in our Tyler, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will help with Public Works and Water & Wastewater projects.
Civil Engineer Intern – Public Works Responsibilities:
- Design Civil Engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Water & Wastewater projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Civil Engineer Intern – Public Works Requirements:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Experience with Civil 3D is a plus
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
Interns are paid hourly and would work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday thru Friday for the summer of 2024.
Half does not pay for or provide housing.
