Are you a passionate learner working toward a bachelor's in civil or structural engineering? Do you have an interest in structural/bridge design? Ready to build your resume on real-world civil engineering projects while learning from the industry's top talent?

Join Consor as a Student Intern! With the goal of one day becoming a full-time employee, you'll have a chance to work on the same projects our entry-level staff tackle, just with extra support and supervision from experienced engineering teammates and supervisors.

This internship is collaborative in nature-collaboration is one of Consor's core values after all-and gives students the chance to work on transportation or water infrastructure-related civil engineering work with ample opportunities to exercise a variety of methods, techniques, potential solutions, and more.

Salary: $20/hr - $25/hr

What You'll Do
  • Perform work that involves conventional types of plans, methods, and solutions with low to moderate complex features
  • Use computer-aided design and drafting systems to draft working plans and detailed drawing

  • Visit project sites as a member of the design team or supporting our construction management team
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and cost estimates
  • Use computer programs to facilitate organization and accuracy of engineering calculations
  • Perform basic engineering analysis, design, and detailing of project plans and construction material quantities
  • Assist in development or maintenance of computer programs and systems (all drafting work must conform to the CAD Drafting standards, CAD Drafting Manual and CAD file management system)
  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining engineering calculations for roadway, bridge, hydraulic, traffic, water, utility and other designs
  • Conduct other duties as required, which may include administrative (non-engineering) duties (document control, construction submittal administration, assisting with business related projects or tasks)
