About this Position:
The New Model Software Engineer will analyze and test New Model In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Systems and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Find software bugs by developing and implementing effective vehicle/system testing; identify root cause; and implement permanent countermeasures prior to Mass Production start through collaboration with R&D.
Responsibilities include:
Support software requirement development for IVI and ADAS based on past problems and new technology by reviewing system specifications and collaborating closely with R&D.
Develop test procedures to maximize problem identification
Lead test activity. This includes test planning and coordination as well as conducting testing.
Lead root cause investigation for problems found and implement countermeasure plan with R&D and supplier
Coordinate overall activity with R&D and suppliers for total system maturation
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
Co-op/ internship experience preferred
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering (or equivalent computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering)
Desired skills:
Proficient in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo and Stash) preferred. Training available.
Ability to use common electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESD equipment, etc.) preferred.
Ideal candidate should have strong experience and interest in software development, JAVA, C, C , and/or Android OS
