About the Program and Hours
- 8 Bed Emergency Department
- 8,700 Annual Visit ED
- 15% admission rate from the ED
- Both EM and HM physicians respond to in-house codes
- ED sometimes asked to perform procedures
- 12 or 24-hour shifts
Qualifications
- Active Alaska in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license
- Candidate Must be BE/BC in ABEM/AOBEM
- Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- Must relocate to Ketchikan, AK
- Successful applicants are comfortable with volume fluctuations and managing patients with available island resources until transfer
