Opportunity
Sound Income Group is seeking to grow our New Business Development Specialists team to fuel our ongoing expansion plans.
Our Business Development Specialists (BDS) are 100% focused on connecting with Financial Advisors and Insurance Agents daily, having initial phone discussions regarding their practice, our services, pre-qualifying the candidate’s requirements and scheduling the initial Discovery meeting with our New Business Development Directors.
Inbound B2B leads are provided monthly by our Marketing Dept. for the BDS to connect with and assess fit with our company’s lines of business. The BDS is 100% responsible for driving candidates to the Stage 1 Discovery call.
To succeed in the Business Development Specialist role, you must be a master of managing daily core tasks, be extremely diligent/detail oriented, possess a high level of communication skills and be able to clearly articulate the value proposition of the organization to recruits via the telephone, Zoom or in person. Weekly Inbound Leads are provided to the BDS by SIG Marketing team.

Role
Our BDS’s core purpose is to set meetings for the New Business Development Directors. This is a high-volume outbound calling role in a call center style environment. You will have clear weekly and monthly performance expectations focused on new deals that you are creating from the company-provided inbound leads. You will be coached from some of the top sales leaders at the Company to assist and guide your progress. This is an entry-level role with a career path towards becoming a New Business Development Director.
The minimum expectations to be successful in this role as follows:
- Monthly KPI: 12 Discovery meetings held per month
- Weekly KPI: 250 Touch Points via Email Campaigns, Phone Calls, Meetings/Webinars, Events
- Daily KPI- Following the Prescribed Lead Cadence management for each campaign
- Mastery of 3rd Party Technology to Qualify, Automate and Record leads: Kixie-cloud dialer, Salesforce-Prospecting and Lead Optics, Hubspot -Inbound Lead Generation Campaigns
Requirements
- 4-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- 2 years of appointment-setting experience in high-volume outbound calling programs
- Active working knowledge of Hubspot, Salesforce, Kixie and LinkedIn (current tech stack used by BDS team)
- General knowledge of financial industry trends, advisory compensation models and insurance products preferred
- Past financial services work experience with a broker-dealer, insurance agency or RIA preferred
- FINRA Securities licenses Series 6, 63, 65 preferred (no investment products will be sold in this role)
