EXAMPLES OF WORKED PERFORMED FOR NETWORK ENGINEER I:

• Design, implement, and maintain computer network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks
• Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring that the network is protected from unauthorized access
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and provide support to end-users
• Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Collaborate with IT team members to ensure that the network is meeting the needs of the company
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies for the network
• And stay current with emerging technologies and trends in NETWORK ENGINEERing

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR NETWORK ENGINEER I: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) preferred; CCNP certification required or obtain within six months of employment; expert knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS; experience with network monitoring tools, such Zabbix and WireShark; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of employment, merchandise, and safety procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
