Crecera Brands is growing rapidly and our IT team plays a pivotal role in facilitating our growth. We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our talented team. The following is a high-level summary of job duties and qualifications associated with this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Act as a resource for all network-related systems for all company sites and data centers (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, SDWAN Devices, Wireless, etc)
- Maintain multi-site topology of all company sites, including cloud systems.
- Data center management. This includes racking, cabling, and physical installation of the hardware and documentation.
- Help with design and perform proactive maintenance (e.g. applying security patches, tuning changes, etc.) and monitor systems to avoid business-impacting issues.
- Recommend and advise management on network and security options.
- Provide on-call support including troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues on time.
- Provide high-quality customer service to associates at all levels of the company.
- Create and maintain documentation including policies, procedures, and technical.
- Provide budget estimates including capital & expense, as well as time.
- Work with vendors on project implementations and support as needed.
- Research, test, and implement new hardware and software.
- Act as a technical resource for IT and business teams.
- Cross-train with team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree, specialized IT training or equivalent experience
- Experience configuring and maintaining multi-site LAN/WAN connectivity and transport.
- Experience with Cloud networking and connectivity a plus
- Experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco IOS, Nexus NX-OS switches
- Experience with Check Point or other SDWAN systems a plus
- Understanding of data center management.
- Knowledge of the design and implementation of monitoring and management tools
- Professional certifications such as CCNA are a plus.
- Knowledge of security concepts and tools.
- Scripting/automation knowledge preferred.
- A self-motivated person who can work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapts to changing priorities.
- Proven ability to provide high customer satisfaction at all levels of the company.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to creatively and cost-effectively solve problems.
- Ability to research and apply solutions to IT problems.
- A proven track record of driving projects to completion.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and a lifelong learner.
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs. required.
- Ability to travel to different Data Center locations within the Metro
