Description
SUMMARY
Our network includes 45 sites and two data centers connected using Cisco DMVPN over L2VPN and DMVPN over Internet for backup connectivity. Our IT Department is in search of Network Engineer with hands-on experience installing and maintaining a large scale Cisco switch and router network environment. Must also perform day-today maintenance and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, WiFi and VoIP technologies. Ability to work well with team members and have good verbal and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• In-depth technical skills in the area of Cisco Networking across multiple platforms of routers, switches, including Nexus and Catalyst switches.
• Experience with Cisco Wireless network design and deployment, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers.
• Advanced knowledge of networking technologies and methodologies including MPLS and VPLS.
• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Infrastructure design and deployment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Layer 1 infrastructure (fiber, copper, RF).
• Intermediate experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure, best practices and principles.
• Network cyber-security best practices for firewalls, firewall configs, ACLs, etc.
• Intermediate experience with EIGRP, HSRP, BGP, VPC, VRF, VLAN Tagging, Spanning Tree, WAN, Firewalls, VPN.
• Intermediate experience with Solarwinds monitoring and configuration tools.
• Research, analyze, propose and implement innovative solutions to technical and business challenges.
• Works independently and without supervision.
• Train new employees and mentor support staff.
• Ability to learn independently or with minimal training.
• Team player, well organized, self-motivated, and committed to achieving goals.
• Availability for on-call during non-business hours is required.
• Some nights and weekends work will be required.
• Travel to downstate and upstate offices will be required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and sit for long periods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in technical field or a relevant combination of education and technical experience required
• Advanced computer navigational skills
• Advanced Internet use and navigational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
• Required Industry Certifications: CCNA
• New York State drivers' licenses and availability to a vehicle required
• Travel up to 25% required
• 5 years of experience in an enterprise technology environment required
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
• A+ Certification, Network+ Certification preferred
• CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless, CCNA Security, CCNP Routing and Switching or CCNP Enterprise preferred
• VMWare VCP, Citrix CCA, Redhat RHCE preferred
