Haven Transportation aims to legitimize and innovate micromobility by providing cities with our proprietary software, e-bikes, e-scooters, and Havens™ that will improve quality and control over this new form of transportation. Our products and platform address an unmet need in the US Market for a flexible and customizable docked-based micromobility platform that cities can use to improve safety, transit, and environmental consciousness without exorbitant expense. We intend to partner with cities and start pilot programs that will mark a shift in the transportation systems of America.

Position Description

The Network Engineer will be responsible for client service delivery of high level and tactical solutions for municipal networks, security planning, design, implementation, installation, & troubleshooting. They will deliver cost effective solutions in helping to architect reliable services & sustainable results for meeting & exceeding Haven IT requirements.

Role provides subject matter expertise in delivering technical direction, managed services, standards compliance, architecture, and responsive client communications to support client acquisition, retention, and delivery of client requirements. This position is a hybrid work schedule working 3 days remote and 2 day onsite in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers and maintains in-depth, up to date knowledge of solutions, standards, guidelines, industry trends, etc. for client networks &IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center, networking, Off-site storage, managed services and interconnection
• Evaluates and selects from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting the client business and IT strategic needs
• Responds to and manages assigned projects ensuring on-time results and thorough documentation
• Troubleshoots & repairs complex or abstract cross functional customer technical issues
• Assists in the development and presentation of strategic solutions & proposals to customers supporting the sales and delivery cycles
• Provides advice training and support to less experienced professionals in the service delivery organization
• Delivers results that support company revenue, productivity, customer satisfaction and service delivery objectives
• Achieve annual training and certification targets as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors of Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience in a related field
• At least 3+ years successful service delivery experience, in the Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Outsourcing, and/or Managed Services fields
• Vulnerability remediation and reporting based on the results of network scans
• Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, integrate and monitor network systems
• Perform tier one, two, and three technical support
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN, VPN, switching & routing technology, protocols, and optimization, network security, firewalls and IPS
• Strong communications skills and ability to work in a collaborative cross functional team

Skills that stand out:

• Knowledge of Fortinet
• Knowledge of Ubiquiti
• Familiarity with Cisco or Arista solutions
• Advanced network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, VCP series certifications or equivalent experience a plus
• Experience or exposure to proposal development, budget management, and product management
